The Fall Ball: A Bocce Tournament

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 15TH
2500 ESTES RD – END OF NORMAL
8:45 am arrival for group pic and start time – Games start at 9

THE TOURNAMENT IS FULL, HOWEVER YOU CAN STILL REGISTER TO BE PLACED ON A WAITING LIST IN CASE ANOTHER TEAM DROPS OUT. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE A PAYMENT UNTIL WE CONFIRM THERE IS AVAILABILITY FOR YOUR TEAM.

IMPORTANT INFO:

All players will meet by 8:45 for a group photo and the unveiling of the bracket schedule. We will have coffee and the bar will be open for Bloodies!

Parking is available by the barn and the orchards. Please do not park on Estes and remember to drive the 5 mph limit

Spectators are welcome but leave your pets at home

We will accept credit card payments for the bar and for merchandise. BUT BRING CASH FOR THE RAFFLE. Aside from the 50/50 payout, we will have some great new prizes.

There will be a half hour break for lunch and the raffle so be sure to stick around! This year we are having a chili cookoff. Each player can vote one time for their favorite recipe. Chili and bread are complimentary for players.

Games will be played to 11 points or 25 minutes. The frame will be completed if the time runs out mid frame.

The final games will not be timed.

Double elimination. Each team will play at least two games. The undefeated team in the finals will need to be beaten twice.

Derek Walker will be assigning a ref for each game. The ref’s calls are final. Please do not take extra time for measurements unless it is very hard to determine which ball is closer or get involved in other disputes that eat up the clock. All four players should be present at their end the entire game; being ready to throw when it is their turn. It is a good idea to predetermine your order of throwing before each frame to also avoid wasted time.

Rules are available here so take a look before the tournament to clarify any questions. You too can become a bocce rule expert!

We encourage all of you to stay until the exciting final games and the award of prizes. This is a wonderful community of bocce players. Let’s continue the tradition of good sportsmanship within a competitive environment.

GOOD LUCK TO EACH TEAM AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF CHICO BOCCE.
